Former Torchwood diva Freema Agyeman brings back ‘80s journo!
Not that Freema Agyeman borrowed the TARDIS to travel back in time and bring a journalist from 1980s, but she certainly paved the way for the same by being on the sets of her upcoming show, The Carrie Diaries.

The prequel to smash hit dramedy Sex and the City already made quite a series of headlines over the last few months. And now that the filming for the same is off the mark, actress Agyeman’s ‘yellow fever’ seems to pull in more attention.
She was spotted in a bright yellow coat teamed with blue parachute pant jumpsuit while shooting a scene for the new rendition of Sex and the City in Wall Street.
Playing a journalist is not all at easy, and Agyeman will be seen portraying one from ’80s. I am not sure how her character Larissa will fit in The Carrie Diaries.
The spin-off will chronicle the life of young Carrie, before she meets the rest of the three ladies in Sex and the City. Vivacious newcomer AnnaSophia Rob has been roped in for the role.
The recently ended filming also saw the teen actress along with Freema Agyeman.
Former Torchwood star’s look in the new show does clarify one point that there will more of exaggerated style statements so as to lend the spin-off yesteryear’s aura.
Agyeman has always been exceptional with her portrayal of different character be it in Torchwood or in its mother series Doctor Who. Nonetheless, this time, there is a bit of challenge in front of her. Her role will not only demand strong acts but it will also put her in straightjacket of being in the retro age.
Watch Torchwood Online in case you wish to revisit some of the phenomenal acts of the dusky babe in the shoes of Martha Jones.
Over the period of time, Agyeman has earned a massive fan base for herself. And I can pretty well figure it out that all her die-hard devotees are looking forward to the new avatar of a journalist. I am also in the league to witness the star storming Manhattan street in high heels and knee-length coat.
