On ‘Doctor Who’s spin-off Torchwood, Eve Myles appears as Gwen Cooper, she is a former police officer appointed at Torchwood Institute by Captain Jack Harness. Her character on series resembles to champion on Doctor Who as she is used as an audience surrogate. She was also seen in the Torchwood audio books and she is an ambitious and feisty young woman. In a nut shell, her character on series was of too much importance and she contributed a lot in the success of this spin off.
