Season 1
Torchwood season 1 was premiered on 10-22-2006 with the episode named ‘Everything Changes’. Season opener introduces us with Gwen Cooper, a cop at a mysterious Organization known as Torchwood. After joining the institute and working with them to reveal the mysteries, she learns cutting edge technology trends and methods. When the season begins, the Torchwood team is set to track down a sex addicted alien who keeps on changing its appearance by using different hosts. Later on this season, Gwen discovers a machine that permits its user to look back into past, no member of Torchwood is permitted to use it. Ianto possesses a secret about the torchwood building and tries to get the woman he loves back but when situation gets out of control, he is forced to tell other members about what is going on. One of Jack’s old friends is investigating fairy observations in the local wood. Jack discovers that he has seen all these fairies nearly 100 years ago and he’s set on the mission to stop a tragedy before it happens. Season comes to its mid, the team heads to Brecon Beacons in order to investigate some unaccountable deaths. But they find them without any weapons and communication modes and facing an awfully terrifying enemy. A plane from 1953 lands in Cardiff and there are 3 people on plane. It seems impossible for them to return to their home town. They come into touch with Torchwood members and these meetings adjust their lives into new surroundings. Season finale ‘End of Days’ was aired on 1-1-2007. On this season finale, as Rift has been opened so people and objects are coming out of it and are being spread through the world. ‘The Thing in the Darkness has arrived and Jack realizes that he’s only one who can save the planet earth from its destruction caused by ‘the son of the Beast’.
