‘Torchwood’ second season finale ‘Exit Wounds’

The episode which brings ‘Torchwood’ second season to an end was entitled ‘Exit Wounds’ and it continued with the stuff left unsolved by the previous episode. ‘Exit Wounds’ received 3.13 million viewers.

We saw that the Torchwood team went to the sites of rift activity. 4 senior police officers had been killed by weevils so Gwen went to the Police Station. Some ghosts are found at the central server building so Tosh and Ianto rushed to the building. They soon found the cause of the threat and shot them. Meanwhile, Owen went to St. Helen’s Hospital.

Captain John began a campaign of terror across Cardiff. He set off powerful explosives that damaged city’s secret nuclear facilities. We also saw the return of the violent captain John Hart. And, the man returned with the only one mission to take revenge on Torchwood. Jack was seen standing against his former friend and encountered John Hart on the hub. In a tough struggle, they both were transferred 2000 years back to the past. The team was separated from Jack and was facing nuclear holocaust…. It was amazing to watch them trying to do their best to save the world. It was really a very emotional season finale…. And it was also hard to believe that they killed two people, including Owen also. I was moved to tears after watching this episode. I am not kinda guy who starts crying after watching emotional stuff on TV but ‘Exit Wounds’ really made me cry. Wholly, ‘Exit Wounds’ was a mixture of comic moments, dramatic moments, sad moments and action moments also.

Well, all episodes of third season of ‘Torchwood’ were brilliant and we enjoyed the show to a great extent. I guess the upcoming episodes would be more entertaining and enjoyable ones.

As of now, we all have set our sights on the third season of series which is likely to premiere this summer.
